This safari starts in Kasane on the 6th October, we recommend you go to Victoria Falls before this, and transfer to the Kazungula Border at 10am where we will meet you.
We go into Kasane for a 3 hour boat cruise with a light lunch on the Chobe River before heading deep into Chobe National Park to our exclusive site only minutes from the river and floodplain. We settle into our comfortable camp before having tea and heading out on an evening game drive returning after sunset for drinks and snacks around the campfire. We have a delicious dinner and retire early around 9pm.
7th October – we wake you early, in the dark and after breakfast we head out for our morning game drive, taking tea and coffee with us, depending on game movements we can explore the riverfront from Serondera past Ihaha to Ngoma, the river will be a hive of activity at this time of the year
8th October – we have another early start and pack our bags before a short early Chobe game drive whilst our camp is packed, we then drive about 6 hours to Savuti, taking a picnic lunch with us to eat along the way. At Savuti we will fill our water trailer before going to our campsite where our camp will be erected for 2 nights. There are only 3 waterholes at Savuti, Pump Pan, Marabou Pan and Rhino Vlei, during our time here we will visit them as there should be a lot of activity going on around them. We will hope to see Cheetah on the Marsh and are sure to see Lions, at this time of the year.
10th October – we have a last early game drive at Savuti before driving 5 hours South to the Khwai Community Concession area, in between Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve. Here our camp will be set up at an exclusive site called Matswere, under old Leadwood Tree’s next to the water. In this area we can spotlight back to camp in the evening after sundowners along the river, and drive off road at your guides discretion, which is great at Leopard sightings, that this area is famous for. We have 2 nights here.
12th October – we have a last short early morning game drive at Khwai before driving about 4 hours into Moremi Game Reserve to our site at Xini Lagoon. This area is renowned for it’s lions and we will spend some quality game viewing time looking for them here. A great area for seeing Hippo’s as well as Birding, we have our last 2 safari days here.
14th October – we have our last early game drive here before breakfast and drive under 5 hours to Maun, if we skip our last game drive then we can make it in time for the flights to Johannesburg.
